Languages

The Languages module is the extended, multilingual version of the Dictionary module. Don't have this module? Then you have the Dictionary module.

The Languages module is used for all terms that do not specifically belong to a page. For example, think of the text 'Search' on a search engine. You can find, modify and translate these kinds of terms in the Languages module.

For example, if you want to translate a term 'Search' into English, you select the "English" option in the top left-hand corner and then search for the term "Search". Here it can then be translated to "Search" in the right-hand column.

Cannot find a text in this module? Then report it to our support department so that the term can be added.

There is also a settings page associated with the Languages module. It can be found on the left in the black column, when you flip open the 'Settings' heading.

Here you can set various things, such as the language that visitors to your site will see by default. The order of the languages in the language menu can also be set here.

Here you can also set whether your website should automatically adopt a different language at a specific URL. Useful for your marketing and other communications. For example, you can indicate that your website is immediately in English when visitors go to your .com domain and in Dutch when they go to your .nl domain.
